William "Dale" Renner

William Dale Renner, 77, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024.

He was born April 18, 1947, in Hannibal, Missouri, the son of William and Norma (Felter) Renner. He graduated from La Grange High School in 1965. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. 

Dale was employed by KPL/Westar/Evergy for 39 years, until retiring. He was known as quite the musician, photographer and wood worker to his friends and family.

Dale married Donna Steele on September 3, 1967 in Hannibal, MO. She survives. Other survivors include son, Bradley Renner; grandson, Cian Renner; brother, Buddy Renner and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Steve Renner. 

Dale loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed traveling, especially being around trees, in the mountains and being in nature. 

Dale’s wishes were for cremation. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later time.
