William W. Beaver

William W. Beaver, 78, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2007 at his home. He was born on October 5, 1928 in Paris, TX, the son of Andrew and Lucille Bailey Beaver. He lived most of his life in Topeka. He was employed by the City of Topeka for 26 years before retiring. William married Carol A. Gruber. She survives. Other survivors include one son, Willard Beaver of Topeka, one daughter, Jennifer Beaver of Topeka, six grandchildren, Doneisha, Damond, William, Zavier, Jalen and Jenna, four sons from a previous marriage, Norman, Sammy, Raymond, Duane, several grandchildren, two brothers, Vance Beaver of Oakland, CA, Joe Beaver of Topeka and three sisters, Ruby J. McChristion of Topeka, Winfred Fowlers of Ohio and Irene Nichols-Evans of Maryland. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. William will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
