Wilma J. Frazier-Bruce, 70, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2006.
Wilma was born August 13, 1935 in Kingfisher, OK, daughter of Samuel and Mable (Thomas) Frazier. She has resided in Topeka since she was 18 years old.
Wilma worked as a secretary for Social Rehabilitation Services for over 40 years.
She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Dynamic Health and Wellness Center.
Wilma married Joseph Bruce on November 22, 1985 in Las Vegas, NV.
Survivors include her husband; sister, M. Jeanette Ridley, Oakland, CA; step sons, Ronald Bruce, Carson, CA, Wesley Bruce, Murray, UT, and Dewey Ickard, Ottawa, KS; nieces and nephews, Ronnie Dawson, Randy (Carol) Dawson, Reggie Dawson, Robin Dawson, Kimberly Jackson, Kevin (Pat) Ridley, Karen Ridley (Oliver Flash), Kelly Cameron, Danny (Bronna) Woods, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Reba Darlyne Dawson, and step son, Michael Bruce.
A funeral service for Mrs. Frazier-Bruce will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 1, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. She will lie in state after 3 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. that evening.
