Wilma Smith Fager Daugherty

Wilma Louise (Smith) Fager Daugherty, 63, passed peacefully surrounded by her family, Friday, November 19, 2010 at Midland Hospice Care, Topeka. Wilma was born August 8, 1947 to Vernon Z. and Martha (Lindeman) Smith in Topeka, Kansas.
Wilma graduated from Broken Bow High School, Broken Bow, OK, in 1963. Wilma married Maurice E. "Marc" Fager Jr. May 24, 1969.They later divorced. Wilma worked for Falley's as a pastry maker for many years.
Wilma is survived by her only child, James Fager (Eustacia) Topeka; grandchildren, Gabriella, Alexandria, Preston, and Austin of Topeka. She is also survived by her brother; William "Bill" Smith, McAlester, OK, her sister; Ruby McGongile, Collingswood, NJ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Louis Smith; and sister, Nova Hott.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Dove Cremation and Funeral Service, 4020 S.W. 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66606. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wilma L. Daugherty Memorial Fund in care of CoreFirst Bank and Trust, 3035 SW Topeka Blvd. Topeka, KS 66611.
