Wilma Jean Traxler

Wilma J. Traxler, 78, North Richland Hills, TX, died July 31, 2007, at a care facility in Texas. She was formerly from Topeka.

Wilma retired from the Kansas Department of Revenue, Motor Vehicle Division, after many years.
She was born January 30, 1929, west of Paola, KS, the daughter of the late Raymond and Bernice Ricketts.
She graduated from Paola High School in 1947.
She married John H. Traxler on June 12, 1949, in Paola. He preceded her in death July 25, 1977. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Wynemia Ricketts, a brother Damon Ricketts, and a grand-daughter Michelle Traxler. She is survived by her children Ronald Traxler, Keller, TX; John Traxler, Meriden; Vicky Lyden, Lenexa and Robert Traxler, Solomon; sisters, Veda Fickel, Fort Worth, TX; Wanda Fickel, Bartlesville, OK; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 6, 2007 at the Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Mrs. Traxler will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday.
