Wilma M. Wiksten, 92, of Topeka, passed away, Thursday, August 21, 2008.
She was born January 16, 1916 in Fairfax, SD the daughter of Ernest and Mary Krambeck.
Wilma retired in 1977 as a registered nurse with the Menninger Foundation of Topeka.
She was a 64 year member of West Side Baptist Church.
Wilma married Clifford Martin Wiksten, Sr. July 19, 1941. He preceded her in death November 4, 1988. Survivors include her children, Dennis Wiksten, New Port Richey, FL; Ingrid Remington, Topeka, KS; Clifford Wiksten, Jr., Shawnee, KS; Jon Wiksten, Palm Harbor, FL; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home followed by burial at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to West Side Baptist Church, 1008 SW 4th, Topeka, KS, 66606 or Catholic Community Healthcare, 234 S Kansas Ave, Topeka, KS 66605.
