Zachery M. Tate

Zachery M. Tate, 25, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020. He was born February 26, 1995 in Gelnhausen, Germany, but grew up around Ottawa, Kansas.

Zach graduated from West Franklin High School in Pomona. He was employed by the Walmart Distribution Center in Ottawa.

Zach was a kind hearted man who loved his family and friends. He was a man of few words but always greeted everyone with a smile. Zach found his enjoyment in caring for animals, riding four wheelers, and going on vacations. Zach oftentimes found joy in the happiness of others and was always willing to do absolutely anything for the people he cared about, even if it was something as simple as a hug.

Zach was loyal, dedicated, and hard working in every endeavor. He had a kind, faithful soul and will be dearly missed. He overcame so much pain to be there for others until his mind finally needed rest and peace.

Survivors include his parents, Michael and Connie Tate, his sister Cayla Lloyd, brother-in-law Seth Lloyd, nephew Abel Lloyd, and niece Magnolia Lloyd. Zach's heart was bigger than most causing his emotions to be easily swayed by the emotions of other, so smile for him, celebrate and rejoice for him knowing he is with God now and forever will be surrounded with love.

He was a witty, loving soul who left this world too soon. He will be forever missed.

A Celebration Zachery's Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Lawrence First Church, 1470 N 1000 Rd., Lawrence, Kansas 66046.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Zachery's name to Elizabeth Layton Center PO, Box 677, 2537 Eisenhower Road Ottawa, Kansas 66067-0677.
