Zollie O. Brown

Zollie O. "Dell" Brown, Jr., 81, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014. He was born January 29, 1933, in Monessen, Pennsylvania, the son of Zollie and Helen Brown.

Dell was a devoted and beloved husband and father who cherished family and the Heavenly Father above all else. An avid reader, vocalist, and artist, Dell's passion for the fine arts was well known.

Survivors include wife, Gwen Brown; sons, Doniel Brown, Mikah (Crystal) Brown and Brian (Tracy) Gomez; daughters, Leah Brown and Karen Funches; brother, Carl Brown; sisters, Sara Warfield, Lois Bundy, Ann Brown, and Helen Brown; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Brown and Michael Brown.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
