Laura "Lynne" (Jones) Weiser, 68, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023.

She was born March 14, 1955, in Fort Riley, Kansas, the daughter John C. Jones and Jeannine Marie (Markmann) Sova. She was a graduate of Topeka West High School class of 1973 and attended Washburn University.

In her youth, Lynne was the first chair violinist of the Topeka Youth Symphony. In addition, she played in the Topeka Civic Symphony under the tutelage of Dr. Everett Fetter.

Lynne married Terry L. Weiser on June 8, 1974, in Topeka, KS. He survives in Topeka. Other survivors include two children, Abby Brianne Weiser of Topeka and Terrence John Weiser of Dallas, TX; and her sister, Nicki Leigh Jones of Topeka.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her stepfather Leonard D. Sova.

Lynne enjoyed writing children's books and posting poems about her dogs. She also enjoyed arguing with the Amazon Echo device and shouting at the refs for making calls against the Chiefs.

Her passion in life was her family, her dogs and music.

She will be greatly missed.

Honoring her request, a cremation is planned. No services are planned. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel in Topeka is assisting the family.
