Shirley M. Bell, 91, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023 at McCrite Plaza. She was born January 19, 1932 in Shawno, Wisconsin, the daughter of Henry C. and Rogina (Tegemeyer) Stuebs.

Shirley graduated from Shawano High School in Shawano, Wisconsin in 1950. She served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Shirley had resided in Topeka since the late 1970’s. She was employed as a Dental Assistant for the Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center for many years before retiring. She enjoyed volunteering at the Colmery’O’Neil VA Medical Center and assisting with Tax Preparation at the Topeka Public Library.

Shirley married Duane Bell on December 30, 1954 in Houston, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1989. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Larvan Stuebs, Ward Stuebs and Louies Stuebs.

Survivors include children, Kenton Bell of Wichita, Kenneth Bell of Wichita, Keith Bell of Topeka, six grandchildren, Wesley, Jackie, Kristi, Staci, Geoffrey and Kenna Marie, eight great-grandchildren, Gavin, Chase, Stella, Eberlee, Brody, Kiera, Journee and Ben and her siblings, Leron Stuebs, Gloria Bartline, Margaret Young and Loretta Hoffman.

A private Celebration of Shirley's Life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Prairie Wind Hospice, 606 High St, Baldwin City, Kansas 66006.
