Born on November 26, 1943, Donald spent his early years on a reservation in Montana, where he developed a deep connection to his Native American heritage. He honorably served his country as a member of the United States Air Force, embodying the principles of bravery, patriotism, and honor. Throughout his military career, he exemplified the utmost integrity, making significant contributions to the defense and security of his beloved nation and learning a skill that would become his lifelong career in telecommunications.

Raised in Wolf Point, Montana, on the reservation, Donald carried with him the values and traditions of his Native American heritage. While he may not have openly proclaimed his pride, his roots remained an essential part of his identity. The wisdom and cultural knowledge passed down through generations guided his actions and shaped his worldview, allowing him to navigate life with grace, resilience, and a personality that would draw people to him.

As a father, Donald was proud of his of two daughters, nurturing them with unconditional love and instilling in them the importance of family, heritage, and respect. Donald's presence in their lives was a constant source of comfort and inspiration, empowering his daughters to become the extraordinary women they are today.

Donald's love extended to his eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild, who brought immeasurable joy and happiness to his life. As babies, he delighted in their laughter, and later in their lives took great joy in getting to know them as the individuals they have become. The memories created with his grandchildren will forever be cherished, serving as a testament to the enduring love he shared and a shining example of strength in times of adversity. A man who never gave up and was a pillar throughout.

As we mourn the loss of Donald Bushman, let us remember the love, resilience, and cherished moments that defined his life.
