Veronica Jefferies, 42, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. She was born June 13, 1981 in Ford County, Kansas, the daughter of Renae Jefferies.
Veronica attended Topeka West High School before successfully battling cancer. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Veronica married James Osterhaus. They later divorced but remained good friends.
Survivors include children, Domonic Osterhaus of Topeka, Aidan Osterhaus of Topeka, James’ son, Jonathan, her mother, Renae Jefferies of Topeka, her brother, Grant Jefferies of Topeka and two nephews, Grant II and Grady.
Veronica was preceded in death by her sister, Jenna Marie Jefferies on October 10, 2002.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Veronica's Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the KSU Cancer Center, 1 Chalmers Hall, 1711 Claflin Rd., Manhattan, Kansas 66506.
