Rosamond Lee Stewart, 86, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

She was born November 4, 1936, in Topeka, Kansas the daughter of James Louis and Willa (Simms) Epperson. She graduated from Melvern High School in 1954.

Rosamond was a waitress for many years and ended her career employed by the Kansas Department of Corrections for 13 years, retiring in 2001.

Ms. Stewart was a member of the Eastern Star and of the Shawnee Heights United Methodist Church for many years.

Rosamond married four times - to Russell Swanson, John Schlink, Paul Heronime and Richard Stewart. Survivors include her sons, Steven Swanson (Annie) of Topeka, Jerry Swanson of Tulsa, OK; daughters Sandra Clark (Jeff) of Alma, KS and Angela Golightley of Topeka; grandchildren Alexander “A.J.” (Kristen) Swanson, Abby (Malcolm) Mikkelsen, BriAnna (Andru) Tovi, Emily (Joban) Mendpara, Bryan (Alyssa) Rigsby, Cody (Hannah) Rigsby, Tanner (Taylor) Clark, Logan Clark, Amanda Clark, Talin Golightley, Gage Golightley, Ava Golightley and Joshua Clark; great-grandchildren Scarlett, Gavin, Ella, Braison and two on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Willa; her sister Esther Urton; and her great-grandson Layne Clark.

Rosamond enjoyed gardening, cooking, scrapbooking, animals, bird and squirrel-watching. She loved to paint.

A graveside service will be on Tuesday, September 26th at 11:00 a.m. at the Mount Hope Cemetery and Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Street in Topeka. Pallbearers will be Cody Rigsby, Logan Clark, Tanner Clark, Talin Golightley, Gage Golightley, and Bryan Rigsby.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society 5720 SW 21st, Topeka, KS 66604-3720
