Melissa Lynn Hullon, 54, of Topeka, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 21, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born October 7, 1968, in Oakley, Kansas, the daughter of Ray Walter and Judith Lynn (Kline) Arie Jr. She attended elementary through high school in Lakin, Kansas, class of ‘87. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Rasmussen, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2017.

Melissa was employed by USD #501 for fifteen years, beginning as a Special Education Paraprofessional, later promoted to Administrative Assistant. Following her time there, she began work at St. Francis Hospital in Health Information Management.

Survivors include daughter, Ashley Massey-Lewis (Adam Lewis), son, Mitchell Hullon, grandchildren, Kenzie, Liam, Tara, and Bailey, brother, Bryan Arie (Deana), ex-husband, Rajinder Hullon, and “That crazy cat” Birdie.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Melissa loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, jigsaw puzzles, crafting, and was an avid Chief’s fan.

Honoring her wishes, Melissa was cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
