Carmen June Klopping, 74, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023.

Carmen was born July 5, 1949, in Vinton, Iowa, the daughter of William and Helen (Rexroat) Klopping. She graduated from Dysart-Geneseo High School in Dysart, Iowa in 1967 and attended Central College in Pella, Iowa.

Carmen worked for the State of Kansas as the Director of Bond Services for the Kansas State Treasurer for 18 years, retiring in 2013. Prior to working for the State of Kansas she worked for First National Bank of Topeka and AAA for over 20 years.

Carmen belonged to Certified Public Managers through the State of Kansas.

Survivors include her sister Ruth Lewis (Bobby) of Topeka; multiple nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and her best friend, Mary Lou Carlson of Topeka. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings Howard, Rhodabelle, Beth, Loren, Ivan and Richard.

Carmen loved going to the casino, playing bingo and going on day trips. She loved jigsaw puzzles and spending time with family and friends.

Carmen was cremated. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 6th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Dove Cremations and Funerals Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road in Topeka. Private interment will be at a future date at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3600 SW 6th Avenue in Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka Rescue Mission, Inc. PO Box 8350, Topeka, KS 66608-0350.
