Ada "Jane" Getz, 90, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023. She was born December 7, 1932 in Americus, Kansas, the daughter of Albert Dudley and Rosie (Bross) Jacobs.

Jane graduated from Emporia High School in 1952 and attended Emporia State University. She was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone for over 33 years before retiring. She was a member of Northland Christian Church and transferred to Central Park Christian Church where she served as the church organist and Deaconess. Ada was also a member of the Southwestern Bell Telephone Pioneers and volunteered for the Ronald McDonald House, the Salvation Army, the American Cancer Society, Ward-Meade Park and served as the first Vice-President of the Topeka L/M Council.

Jane married Dr. Glenn Getz on August 22, 1954 in Topeka. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Vicky Getz of Norfork, Arkansas, one granddaughter, Michelle R. Ashton of Topeka, three great-grandchildren, Kelsi, Tanner and Trey and a few great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside inurnment services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023 on the Garden Chapel at Topeka Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Kay’s Pristine In Home Care, 2611 SW 17th St., No. 106, Topeka, Kansas 66604.

Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
