Veda Larimer, 98, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at a local care center.

She was born March 14, 1925, in Sycamore, Kansas, the daughter of Clem and Amy (Petty) Richardson. She attended schools in Sycamore.

She was a homemaker and later worked as a baker.

She was a member of Eastern Star, Loyal Chapter in Silver Lake, First Southern Baptist Church.
She enjoyed bowling, sewing, camping and traveling tours.

Veda married Max A. Larimer on August 15, 1945 in Independence, KS. He preceded her in death on October 22, 2011. Other survivors include daughters, Shirley J. (Ken) Lomax, Phyllis “Marty” (John) Atkisson; 3 Grandchildren; 6 Great-grandchildren; and 1 Great-great granddaughter.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Mount Hope Cemetery Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the cemetery chapel one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
