Wendell B. “Chris” Christian, 89, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. He was born November 21, 1933 in Eskridge, Kansas, the son of Ralph and Mima (Buck) Christian.

Chris graduated from Seaman High School. He was an Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. Chris was employed by Hills Pet Products as a statistician. He later worked for Figgs Subaru as a Parts Manager for 20 years. Chris loved his family. He was a very personable and outgoing person who loved to travel and spend time with his friends.

Chris married Kathleen Lucas on June 22, 2005 in Durango, Colorado. She survives. Other survivors include children, Brenda (Dargal) Clark of Topeka, Bonita (Gary) Weigel of Tecumseh, Bret Christian of Topeka, Barta (Marc) Fobair of Salt Lake City, Utah, Sonya (Mark) Cefalu of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Bart Christian of Topeka, Bobby (Shelly) Foster of Branson, Missouri, Barbra (Bill) Baird of Pratt, Kansas, Warren Troy (Tammi) Foster of McLouth, Kansas, Brandi (Brian) Gillaspie of Topeka, Brianna (Brad) Galbraith of Denver, Colorado, 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and his sister, Eloise Foga of Topeka.

Chris was preceded in death by one daughter, Belinda Christian in 2009 and his daughter-in-law, Cathy Moore in 2023.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2023 at Dove Southeast Chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
