Patricia Ann Thomas, 83, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023.

She was born March 31, 1940, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, the daughter of Edward and Theresa (Cychosz) Sommers. She graduated from P. J. Jacobs High School in 1958.

Mrs. Thomas enjoyed the Catholic church up until her marriage in 1960, when she converted to Protestant.
Patricia married Thomas S. Thomas on July 30, 1960 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas S. Thomas; son, Thomas S. Thomas II and his wife Kristine and their 6 children; daughter, Kristen Cook and her husband Vincent; brothers, Erv and Ben Sommers; and sister Grace (Sommers) Sehring.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Edwina (Sommers) Schmidtke.

Patricia was a wonderful homemaker and an excellent cook. She had a special flare with sewing, and embroidery work, making beautifully elegant wedding dresses, and decorative home items. Her work reached out to many charitable organizations.

A Graveside Ceremony will begin at 1:00 p.m., Friday December 29, 2023 at Mount Hope Cemetery, 4700 SW 17th St, Topeka, KS 66604.
