Shane Morgan Harris, 31, of Overland Park, Kansas, formerly of Topeka, Kansas, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024.

He was born September 18, 1992, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Shawn Morgan and Lori Ann (Terry) Harris.

Shane was employed by Ferguson Computer Services in Lee’s Summit, MO.

Survivors include his fiancé, Rachel Graf of Overland Park, KS, as they planned to be married April 20, 2024; his step-mother, Donna Harris of Topeka; his step-siblings, Michael and Matthew Johnson and Katie (Sowensky) Lumene; his half-brothers, Ryan (Michelle) Grimmer of Claremore, OK and Daniel Grimmer; his half-nephew, Joel Grimmer; his half-niece, Hannah DeLeon; his half-great-nephew, Pheonix DeLeon. He is also survived by Rachel’s family which became his second family, future in-laws, Gary and April Graf; Christine and Kelsey Damron; future sibling-in-laws, Megan (Andrew) Kirby, Jonah Graf, Hannah (Chris) White, Joshua (Kat) Graf, Elisabeth Graf, Gabriel Graf; eight nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Quintin Thero.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Shawn and Lori Harris; and his beloved canine companion, Dach Son Harris.

Shane enjoyed caring for his pets, Incredibly Deadly Viper, Prometheus, Athena, Trevor, Hup, Mochi, Apollo and Tofu. His other enjoyments included technology, bouldering, playing his grandfather’s bass guitar, playing his Didgeridoo, traveling and collecting memorabilia from the Historic Jayhawk Theater in Topeka. His love of music also led him to be a big part of the EDM Community.

Cremation is planned. A celebration of life ceremony will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2024, Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
