Jerry L. Renchler, 74, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. He was born September 30, 1949 in McPherson, Kansas, the son of Fred W. and Vera M. (Sutton) Renchler.

Jerry grew up in McPherson and attended McPherson High School through his Junior year. He graduated from Highland Park High School and attended Washburn University. He was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad / BNSF Railway for over 45 years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, auto racing and spending time with his family and friends.

Jerry married Deborah G. Crow on June 21, 1980 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Kelsey (Mike) Wiber of Hurst, Texas, two grandchildren, Nolan and Aubrey, his sister, Sandy (Jim) Bumgarner of Topeka and numerous extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Jerry's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Lakeview Church of the Nazarene where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Lakeview Church of the Nazarene, 2835 SE Croco Rd., Topeka, Kansas 66605 or to the Kansas Wildscape Foundation, 614 N. Main St., Newton, Kansas 67114.

Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
