Reva Faye Hern, 90, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024.

She was born October 8, 1933, in Burrton, Kansas, the daughter of Melvin and Ida Faye (Cavin) Edwards. She graduated from Burrton High School in 1952.

Reva was employed by the KP&L for many years, until retiring.

Mrs. Hern was a member of the Crestview United Methodist Church, of Topeka and of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Topeka Quilters Guild.

Reva married Robert E. Hern on April 4, 1953 in Biloxi, MS. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2013.

Survivors include sons, Scott Hern (Jeannie) and Brad Hern (Chardy), grandchildren, Jeffrey, Stephanie, Andrew, Michael and Nicholas.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lloyd & Joe Edwards, and sisters, Helen Stubby & her twin Reta Grandon.

Reva loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading, quilting, K-State and Kansas City sports teams.

Reva was cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at Dove Cremations & Funerals Southwest Chapel on Friday Feb. 2, 2024 at 11:00a.m. Final resting place will be next to her husband at Mount Hope Cemetery.
