Tammy Marie Breazeale, 54, of Topeka, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024.

She was born October 12, 1969, in Fairbury, Nebraska, the daughter of Marvin and Violet (Hubbard) Breazeale. She received her GED and completed schooling for her Certified Medical Assistant licensure.

Tammy was employed by the McCrite Plaza for many years. Her most recent years of employment was for Walmart as a Lead Service Associate.

Survivors include children, Daryl (Rylie) Starkebaum, Tiffany (Kurt Stockman) Starkebaum and Austin (Melissa) Starkebaum; grandchildren, Isaiah and Noah Starkebaum, Kamden Starkebaum, Ayden Starkebaum and Lexi Calderwood, and Brayden, Lincoln, Malcolm and Axton Starkebaum; mother, Violet Krohn; siblings, Ronald (Maggie) Poley, Terry (Tommi) Poley, Tressa (Steven) Green, Curtis Poley and Donna (John) Lanham, and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her step dad, Daryl Krohn; sister, Trudy Poley; best friend, Mike Blevins, along with aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tammy was a strong person with a heart of gold. She endured a lot throughout her life, but she always fought through it. In her free time, she loved spending time with her favorite people who called her Nana. She would do anything for her family and she never judged anyone. She enjoyed taking care of her plants, her dog, Sugar, going to the Casinos, fishing and collecting frogs. Tammy also loved sharing a meal with her children and grandchildren. Tammy was recognized and respected as one of the hardest working people by those that knew her especially her children. She will be remembered most for her contagious smile and perseverance.

Tammy’s final wishes were for cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00p.m., Saturday February 3, 2024, at Dove Cremations & Funerals Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS. Family will receive friends beginning at 10:30a.m. the morning of. A later Interment of the cremated remains will take place at Carbondale Cemetery in Carbondale, KS.
