Gary Dean Parker, 56, of Topeka, passed away January 27, 2024.

He was born on August 5, 1967, in Bates City, Missouri, the son of Gayle D. and Florence A. (Patton) Parker. He graduated from Grain Valley High School.

Gary was employed by Hallmark Cards just short of 36 years.

Gary married Peggy Cummings on March 4, 2011 in Las Vegas. She survives, along with his daughter Nicole Artzer (Adam) of Olathe and son Joshua Ricketts (Amanda) of Manhattan, KS; grandchildren Sydney (Landon), Lilly, Olivia, Jett, and Adam; mom, Doris Parker; siblings Sondra Gayle Barber, Linda Patterson (Robert), and Margie Mengel (Beatty); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Florence Patton and Gayle Parker; and brothers Joe Dean Hall and Larry Dale Parker.

Gary enjoyed Mizzou sports, fishing, gardening, woodworking and Chiefs football.

A private celebration of life will be held in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st Street, Topeka, KS 66604-3720.
