Ralph P. Knehans, 92, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024. He was born September 5, 1931 in Guide Rock, Nebraska, the son of Theodore and Trinia Katherine (Schaa) Knehans.

Ralph graduated from Red Cloud High School. He was an Air Force Veteran. His career spanned 21-years, serving in many states and in the Azores Island and Okinawa, Japan before retirement in 1971. Ralph then supervised handicapped workshops at Kansas Neurological institute until 1971 when he started working for Costlow company, where he drove semi-trucks and was a warehouse supervisor before finally retiring in 1995. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and Calvary Lutheran Church.

Ralph was a charter member of combat air museum and a member of Vietnam veterans honor guard. He will be missed a lot!

Ralph married Margaret Ann Fry on February 18, 1956. She preceded him in death on January 18, 2011. He was also preceded in death by one son, Michael Knehans in 1993.

Survivors include one son, Peter Knehans and wife, Cindy, two daughters; Sherry Knehans, Maggie Belk and three grandsons.

Cremation has taken place and private inurnment will take place in Red Cloud, Nebraska, where Ralph spent his childhood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Combat Air Museum, 7016 SE Forbes Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66619.

Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
