Judy Ann Burgett, 72, of Topeka, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 21, 2024 surrounded by loved ones.

Judy was born on December 13, 1951 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Kensel and Frankie (Stanislaus) Miller. She retired from the Kansas Department of Corrections.

Judy was united in marriage to Terry Burgett on April 24, 1987 in Topeka and spent 36 wonderful years together.

Judy loved spending time with her family. She attended events for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to the casino, thrift shopping, and playing cards with friends.

She was a rock for the family and loved family get-togethers and reunions. She leaves a legacy of strength, faith, resilience and most of all love for her family and all that knew her.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Kensel and Frankie Miller, her son Danny Ray, brothers, Danny and Lonnie and her sister Teresa.

Survivors include Terry Burgett of the home, son Mike (Maria) Hodge of Kansas City, step-sons Eric and Erin Burgett of Kansas City, daughters Christy (Mike) of Topeka, Sherri (Andrew) of Florida; siblings Mary and Vicky (Rick), sister-in-law Terry, and brother-in-law Rod. Grandchildren Elle (Rob), Aaric (Ashley), Amanda, Drew, Adrian, Bayli (Kyle), Taylon (Kelly), Austin (Bree), Lacey and great grandchildren Kaedyn, Brielle, and Korben. Judy had many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews that held a special place in her heart.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 10:00 am at Topeka First Assembly of God, 500 SW 27th Street, Topeka, Kansas 66611.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Topeka First Assembly of God.
