Barbara Ruth Etienne, 83, of Wamego, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

She was born February 24, 1941, in Harrisonville, Missouri, the daughter of Thomas and Gertrude Thelma (Stewart) Hall. She attended Lone Tree and Harrisonville schools.

Barbara married Gary Etienne on March 2, 1968 in Wamego. He survives, along with her daughter Sarah Etienne Pease (David) of Wamego; grandchildren Wendal “Buddy” Holloway (Crystal), Gary Holloway (Judy), Ashley Kells, Tommy Coon Jr. (Renee) and Tim Coon (Kasey); great-grandchildren Sabrina Coon, Dmitri Coon, Naomi Coon, Aiden Coon, Adeline Coon, Dominick Holloway, Ryan Holloway, Ivy Holloway and Jaxon Holloway; and her high school best friend Janice Arnold of Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by daughter Dena Neal; sisters Flora Jordan and Nancy Dodd; brother James Wesley Hall; and great-grandson Sully Coon.

Barbara enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and riding bikes.

Barbara was cremated. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
