Michelle Dawn Snyder, 54, of Mayetta, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024.

She was born July 10, 1969, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of James and Joyce (Milliken) Viar. She attended school in Council Grove, Kansas where she lived most of her childhood, and graduated from Tri County High School in Big Flat, Arkansas in 1986. She received her Associate’s Degree from Highland Community College.

Michelle was employed with the BNSF Railroad for 22 years.

Michelle married Craig Snyder on November 7, 1998 in Topeka, KS. He survives.

Other survivors include mother, Joyce Heins of Topeka, siblings, Donald Kesler, Stephanie Kesler, Joshua Kesler, Michelle Heins and Debra Cruz, and grandchildren, Mya Snyder, Payton Snyder and Catalina Hernandez, and many life-long friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Viar, brothers, Michael Viar and Clifford Heins, and grandparents.

Michelle loved her family and friends, her husband was her life. She enjoyed time with family and grandkids, traveling, swimming, sunsets, cooking, her cats and dog Bo, always enjoyed a good Chiefs game, and living life to the fullest.

Michelle’s wishes were for cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00am – 3:00pm, Saturday June 29, 2024 at Hoyt Community Building, 900 Park Dr., Hoyt, KS 66440.
