Marian Elizabeth Dawson, 60, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024 surround by those that love her.

She was born March 25, 1964, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, the daughter of George and Marjorie (Davis) Dawson. She received her Master’s Degree in Education from BYU.

Marian was employed with the Topeka Public School District 501 for 30+ years specializing in Special Education. She taught English lessons to overseas Chinese students via the internet. She has touched the lives of many children, their parents and families.

Survivors include daughters, Aubri (Jarek) Vrbanac and Sera Dawson, son Andrew Dawson, numerous special needs foster children, cousin, Deanna Dawson, and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Marian was a special loving person. She loved helping others and enjoyed teaching, t-shirt making, her dogs, Pokémon Go, reading and knitting.

A private Memorial Ceremony will be held at a later date.
