Robert “Bob” Bailey, 78, of Topeka, Kansas passed away at his home on Monday, June 24, 2024.
He was born in Wisconsin on June 6, 1946 to Lawrence and Lillian Bailey.
He was the youngest of 7 children.
After high school he enlisted in the US Air Force for four years. During that time, he also served in the Vietnam War.
After the military, he joined the Topeka Police Department as a Law Enforcement Officer. During this time, he married Ardeth Warner and they had two children, Robert Bailey Jr and Michelle Pavone, both are still living in Topeka, Kansas.
Eventually he would leave the police force. He went to work for KTA until his retirement. During retirement, he worked part time at the National Guard as a Security Officer.
Bob remarried in November 2013 to Sherry Bailey, unfortunately, she passed away in 2016.
Bob enjoyed the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting and gardening!
He loved to go see his family back home in Wisconsin. He loved seeing his children and grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his children, Robert Bailey Jr. and Michelle Pavone both of Topeka; five grandchildren, Devin Bailey, Jordan Bailey, Paige Yeager, Kelsey Yeager and Jaden Pavone and nine great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father as well as his six siblings and wife.
Cremation is planned. Private services will be held.
