Denise Kay Pfannenstiel, 62 of Vassar, Kansas passed away on April 22, 2016 at Midland Care Hospice House. She was born on October 16, 1953 at Kansas City, Missouri to James E. and M. Jean (Dowgray) Siebolt. She grew up in the Kansas City area and graduated from Center High School in 1971.

Denise married Leonard Pfannenstiel on September 22, 2007 on her mother-in-law’s farm at Leavenworth, Kansas. She was employed by Spangler Printers as a Book Binder II and Fulfillment. She was a member of the Friends of Pomona State Park and Girl Scouts. Denise enjoyed working with kids at the park and crafting.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard; her daughters: Ericka Hoff (Danny), Heather Pulliam and Ashley Craigg; five grandchildren; and her brothers: Mike Siebolt, Greg Siebolt and Rick Siebolt. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Jean Siebolt.

The memorial service will be held on April 30, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales Parish, 900 Ida Street. Lansing, Kansas.
